We are reimagining
the cycle of plastic.

REFUSION creates solutions for single use plastic bags to divert them from landfills, prolong their lifespan, and reframe their value.

Refusion is an 501c3 organization that makes material out of single use plastic bags and creates products & educational experiences that inspire new ways to recycle.

100% of funds go towards recycling endeavors and educational programming. Join our community of givers to support this mission.

EDUCATION

Refusion Recycling Class

Our Refusion Recycling Class merges recycling, craft and entrepreneurship and engages children in various projects using waste in creative ways. The goal of the class is to stimulate thinking around “waste” through experiences of recycling across multiple categories and to increase children’s awareness that Mother Earth needs us to invent ways to recycle better!

This class teaches about different organic and non-organic waste streams and engages children in creative recycling systems to turn waste into something beautiful and useful.

Refusion founder Julie Rais Ellis currently teaches this course at her children’s school with a goal to bring this to more schools nation-wide.

Together we can divert plastic from landfills and turn single-use plastic into a long lasting material.
